Our Single Will

A Will is a very important document. It is a document that can change your relatives and friends futures. Often referred to as a Last Will and Testament, this document is a formal list of your wishes for what you want to happen with your things after you pass away.  In order to avoid any complications or disputes between relatives or friends it is a good idea to have a Will so that your final wishes are carried out and must be by law.

A Will aims to lay down the intentions of a person regarding their affairs after they pass away. Often this applies to their finances and assets such as property, but can apply to many things, including who you wish to leave certain things to.  If you fail to write a Will your assets may not be distributed as you wish. Also, a big portion of your assets is likely to go to the State if there is no way of telling what your wishes were.

Legal matters require legal documents to ensureone or all parties involved will be covered. Under the Wills category you have a variety of choices like Single Wills, Joint Wills, and Living Wills. The Single Will is for the use of a single person or married person that does not wish to sign a Joint Will.

A Single Will is going to outline the intentions of a person regarding their property, assets, and personal belongings after they pass away. Financial information, any homes, cars, or other property the person owns will be mentioned in the Will. If there are properties you share with a significant other such as a home you will typically have to state that the home is going to the significant other.

The Single Will helps you to outline your life’s belongings, so that your family will not have to deal with the pain of your passing nor with your estate. It makes it easier for those you leave behind. By filling out a Single Will and signing it you are making your requests legal in a court of law. Any information in the document must be adhered to.

The court will place your estate in probate if need be to ensure your wishes are probably carried out. Most individuals fill out a Single Will leaving their property to a spouse, offspring, or charity. However, you can elect whomever you wish to receive your estate. The document template offered here is an easy way to state your wishes. You will just need to fill out the blank sections and state your wishes. You can change the wording if needed, but once signed it is a legally binding document and only creating a new Will or adding a Codicil will change what has been written in the Single Will.
