Consultancy Agreement Contract
A Consultancy Agreement can be used by a business for appointing either an individual or another business to act as a consultant.
The Consultancy Agreement template sets out the terms of the relationship between the business and the consultant so that each party understands their role within the relationship.
Typically this type of agreement is used when you have a specific project or a time-based service that requires the assistance of a consultant. Often in this type of situation, the consultant will have their own offices that they work from. However, a business that needs a consultant on hand may include use of an office for the duration of the project under the agreement.
A consultant will not usually be an employee of the business and so it is important that the Consultancy Agreement is drafted in accordance with the law defining who will be treated as an employee for tax and employee rights purposes. Our Consultancy Agreement has been created by our team of in-house solicitors to ensure that the correct status is maintained by the consultant.
Using our Consultancy Agreement Contract
The agreement template can be fully customised to include any special needs, addendums and time extentions as required.
Clauses in the Consultancy Agreement Contract
The Consultancy Agreement template contains clauses requiring details of each party to the agreement, the project, the duration of the consultancy, the duties and responsibilities of each party, the fees, protection and attribution of intellectual property rights, confidentiality and a termination clause.
The fees will be the amount of income the consultant will earn in relation to the project. The consultant typically has an idea of the amount that they wish to earn and the fees that the project will incur. Consultants are often paid on a daily rate plus expenses.
